The photos show you all of the features except the thick, strong foam padding all around the main compartment and outside pockets. Almost too good to be true: heavy fabric and zippers, strong construction, nice appearance, and a good value. Pros: Strong, versatile, high-quality. Cons: Too nice to sit on (and then where would you put all of the gear?)

the MODPOD is a good concept it has large bags but they are not re-enforced so if you put heavy equipment inside (magazines loaded with ammo) the bags will sag. also it may need some re-enforcement ribs around the outline of the bag so when you move, crawl, climb with the bag on your back it does not sag or shift on your back. A good belt will go a long way to stabilize the weight on it. I do recommend it to for normal range use, but for use in the field it needs some additional work. Pros: Material if fine, good amount of large compartments, zipper ties. Cons: not enough molle and velcro to ties gear to it. not ridgit for heavy equipment

This thing isn't messing around. It has an ample amount of padding and room for two long guns. The pockets on the outside are big enough to fit... well, I don't know how to fill these things up. I've got all my AR15 magazines (I'd say how many and what the rd count is but I'm in CA), and 500 rounds of .223 and there's still room in the big pocket. I think the smaller outer pocket could hold a full size 1911, a bunch of magazines and a half case of ammo too. I shopped around for a while to find a deal on a long gun case and couldn't find anything close to the quality of this one for anywhere close to the price. It looks to be the highest quality case that I've gotten my hands on and was super affordable. It would still be worth the money if it was $200. I didn't have a case for my tactical pistol grip shotgun and AR15 and this is going to get me to classes and the range in one bag, without damage, no problem.

For a soft drag bag carrying two rifles, this is a perfect fit for me. Hard cases obviously have their pros also, but for other reasons. I would rate this bag a five out of five because it folds up, can be used as a shooting mat, protects and carrys two rifles and magazines plus a spotting scope or hand gun and magazines and the price was just right for me. The backpack type straps, heavy duty zippers all meet my needs. Pros: Meets all expectations Cons: None

this is a very nice, very well padded soft case, it holds my DTA SRS with room for a spotting scope, dope book and all the other little goodies you need to bring along, it has moveable velcro straps on the inside, so your things dont move around, and molle webbing for adding pouches to the inside, no molle on the outside, but thats not big in my book. its advertised as a shooting mat, however its a little small, and to be used effectively you would need to remove the bulkier things from the pockets, so id caution against the genuine usefulness of that "feature", still though great case and im totally confident in my rifle and scopes safety! Pros: well made, with lots of protective padding, easy to setup, good price Cons: not a practical shooting mat,

Ive had this bag for about a year now. I use it for my S.A.P.R. ( semi automatic precision rifle ) LR 308. I carried plenty of stuff with room to spare. contents: Rifle with scope, range finder, binoculars, 6-20rd mags, log book, pen pencil, spare BCG parts, ear protection, eye protection, ballistics table, bore snake, small CLP bottle, Microfiber rage with lots of room left in the big side pocket. This is the only bag that i could find in this price range that was long enough for my rifle ( little over 42''). the bag works great for a shooting matt and the stitching is strong. Pros: Sturdy, good zippers Cons: Color choices ( camo Please )

I recieved the bag and I was surprised at how much of a bag you get for your money. I am happy with the bag overall. Plenty of room for two long guns with a adjustable straps and a nice padded divider. The two pockets in the front are spacious too. The only issue I had with the bag was with the stitching on the bag where the shoulder strap attaches to the top. Took the bag out to the range the first day and I wore the shoulder strap and the stitching broke attached to the bag. I caught the bag before it hit the ground. Reinforced stitching would help. Since then I only use the hand carry handle and have had no issues. Overall I am still happy with the purchase. Optics Planet is great to order from. This is not my first purchase with them and I still continue to order. Thanks guys! Pros: Great value, lots of room, hold 2 long guns easily Cons: stitching could be stronger,

Good case for the money... pockets give it flexability and space. Cant really see how it would make an effective shooters mat unless you just want to lay on a bag... and dont think it would endure being used as true drag bag (and too big)... but still a good bag, and even better for the $! Pros: Solid design, good pockets Cons: Not a real Mat or Dragbag..

Very nice double tactical rifle case. Holds 2 opticaled ARs nicely when stocks are collapsed, My XDM in the small pouch and 10 mags of all sizes in the bigger pouch, plus room for my bore snakes, brushes, mag loaders and carry straps. Love the shoulder straps! Pros: Lots of room for everything, very well padded.

Very nice bag - can hold two rifles and a pistol and several magazines - fully loaded I would not use the backpack straps that seems to be the weakest point - I will have to try it out as a mat but it does not really lay flat - plenty of padding but does not open flat - good for the price 4 stars because it is not exactly as described but is well made Pros: Plenty of room and pockets Cons: poor backpack straps - not really a drag bag or mat...

Very sturdy, well made bag. Plenty of room for rifles and other small gear. I put my Remington 700 in the main compartment and can fit my underfolding AK-47 in one of the side pouch. The other pouch hold my ammo, targets, tools, etc. The only small problem I found was having to re-thread the velcro tie-downs to fit my gun but this was a minor issue. It took about 5 minutes to move them where i needed. Great bag Pros: Well made, Useful pouches

I was looking for a double rifle case that I could carry both an AR and tactical shotgun. After alot of research I decided on this bag and I am glad I did. Both rifles fit perfectly and I love all the room and pockets. I have already recommended this case to a friend of mine. Great case, great price, oh and prompt service from Optics Planet. Pros: Heavy duty, great space Cons: None that I have found

Great bag at a very reasonable price. I was able to easily fit my Marlin 1895SBL w/ 12 Ga 870 and carry comfortably. Have used silicone gun socks to carry my Marking and two 870's broken down with each barrel and each action in a separate sock. if the bag was made with a slightly you could pack extra shotgun barrels easily. Excellent value. I own two and will order for Christmas gift for grandsons and their dad. Pros: plenty of room for guns and accessories easy to set up reasonable price Cons: longer outside pocket

I enjoy using the rifel case its very comfortable and light weight. I can put all my things in ome bag instead of trying to Carrey two rifles and two or three pistols. It makes life easier. Pros: lots of space for rifels and pistols. i like the outter pockets for ammo and targets. it also holds all the clips i have. Cons: i wish it had a few more elastic bands for holding.clops

It's a little small to hold a 2nd rifle with either an 18" fixed stock AR or a "sniper" configuration PTR-91, but that's OK. It would also be better if it folded out into a bigger shooter's mat- it's a little short for that purpose. Overall it seems to be well-made and is hard to beat for the price. Pros: Great value, lots of room for magazines and other accessories Cons: A little small to actually hold two rifles and folds out to be a little small to be a really good shooters mat

I bought this bag because I shoot both rifles and pistols at the range and I wanted to be able to bring everything in one bag. This bag allows me to do that. I normally take two pistols in their hard cases, a rifle, ammo, mags, and misc. supplies to the range with me and everything fits in this bag with plenty of room to spare. As others have mentioned, I don't see how this bag would conveniently function as a shooters mat. Also, could live without the huge, indiscreet "OPMOD" stitching on the bag. Pros: room for rifles and pistols

I wanted this case primarily for hauling around my AR's. I have a small family of them, so when I go to the range, it gets to be a pain having to haul them all separately. I can fit 2 AR's in the main compartment, and my dedicated .22 Upper in the medium sized compartment. I should warn you that the Tan is a lot lighter color than shown on the picture. It does show dirt a little, but it's not a deal breaker. I would highly recommend this case to a friend! Pros: Lots of room for gear & accessories Cons: none

Decent case for the price. I now own two. It would be outstanding if the larger outside pocket was a little larger to hold spare barrels for shotguns. Overall good value for the money. Grandsons and son-in-law are getting these for Christmas. Pros: Fits two guns. Decent padding and tie downs. Cons: Would be nice if large outside pocket was 30 inches.

The OPMOD Double Rifle case is the perfect multipurpose case for anyone on the job (LE, agency, Military) or sportsman. I originally purchase the OPMOD soft case because of its price point. Since receiving and using the OPMOND Case I have replace all of my operational and personal cases with this unique and easy to use Rifle carrying system. I have been in the industry for over 30 years and the OPMOD is best I have used. Pros: Heavy duty construction, well designed for easy access and storage. Cons: None

you could rough it for a month in anywhere the temperate zone down to the tropics with the capacity of this bag. i think OPMOD should develope some modular bags and padded nylon cases/inserts to better organize, protect, and secure sensitive gear such as cameras and night vision equipment, for this particular bag. Pros: very light, holds a LOT of stuff, Cons: needs small interior compartments and more PALS straps

Quite pleased with double bag; excellent construction, roomy size. Could use more attachment straps, heavy with two guns and accessories, but good value for money. Suggest tan color which might show less dirt. Pros: good value, good construction, roomy Cons: heavy with all accessories, needs more attachment straps

I searched all around for a bag that allowed me to fit my rifle which has a scope and an adjustable stock. I didn't want to have to readjust the stock to "down-size" it or have to remove the scope just to store the long gun in the bag. I also wanted a nicely padded bag but not too bulky. This case fits my needs perfectly without costing an arm and leg (got the bag on sale). The case is discreet as it is not obvious in revealing the contents which may be important to some. The hook-n-loop straps do a good job of securing the rifle and other times within the bag. What I also like are the extra compartments for related gear, like cleaning tools and solutions, back-up scope, sniper data / log-book, etc, etc. The bag can be used as a shooters mat, but I think its too nice of a bag for that, and I already have a shooter's mat. It has backpack straps for hands free carrying which is a great feature but it also has rings to use one of the straps for shoulder carry. I purchased the black bag but found that in very low light conditions, it is difficult to work with the contents of the bag since most everything I used in that bag is also black, (in many of my situations using a flashlight is not a good idea for several reasons). Overall this is a very good, well made, well padded, and great functioning bag. Next purchase will be the hard case that this bag can fit into (Storm 3300) but Ill wait for that to go on sale. Pros: High quality in construction

Good bag and doing right by me. Like I said the harness clips get tweaked and will eventually break, but I never planned to carry the contents & bag like a backpack anyway. So it will woprk for me. Pros: Seems durable, serving its advertised purpose Cons: Shoulder harness clips easily tweaked out of shape, bound to break sooner rather than later

I was impressed with the case when I first took it out of the box. Quality throughout, stitching and overall. Nice construction, comes with many mole straps but tons of space to customize how the case is set up for your own rifles. I can fit my AR-15 with a Lucid HD7 red dot and my AK in the main pocket with a good amount of extra room left, my 15-22 fits broken down in the large front pocket, and I can fit 2 pistols + 5 pistol mags in the smaller pocket, along with sticking/stuffing other magazines throughout the case with various cleaning items, such as bore snakes. This case has changed a need for 4 separate cases into a single case. Padding is quite thick. Made in the USA and excellent case whether on a budget or not. Highly recommend. Pros: Quality made, amount of storage, lots of mole straps, durability & thick padding, Made in USA Cons: none

I have used my bags to carry four black rifles and six handguns to and from a backcountry range. Used the backpack mode to get to 800m range. If you are hiking with guns and mags get an extra securing strap to hold your rifles in place. Overall quality is excellent! Pros: Extra large capacity, nice as shooting mat in remote locations Cons: could use 2 more velcro straps to secure weapons

It also allows easy safe storage and security for my weapons and accessories I am so glad I purchased the OPMOD bag, Thanks!

This is honestly the best bag that i have bought so far. I have both Pelican and Plano boxes, but if you are just going to the range this bag is more than enough. I love the compartments in the front of the bag. I keep everything from my rangefinder to pistols. The Molle straps will prevent movement which is a big plus. Buy this cause for the price it is unbeatable. Pros: durable, 2 rifle storage and great compartments Cons: none

Heavy duty zippers. Lots of room inside. Inside is adaptable to fit a wide variety of gear. When handling the product, you can feel that it is made to last. Giving if four stars b/c I have yet to take it the the range. Pretty confident that it will earn that 5th star after.

Outstanding bag. I took it to the range and it was the only bag I needed. The only reason it is not a 5 star is the zipper. I would like to see a heavier zipper and pulls. The zipper pulls are too small. I had to change them because they started slipping off the zipper.

This rifle case is very sturdy and the quality of the materials and workmanship is excellent. The zippers are larger than typical rifle cases and appear to be more heavy duty. There are plenty of pockets and compartments for various gear. I can fit two rifles in the main compartment and a disassembled ar-15 in the front large compartment. A pistol can also be stored in the front small compartment, too. That is four guns it a single case! This many guns in their separate cases would be unwieldy to carry. The backpack straps are a nice option to have. However, the straps aren't very comfortable and the cushions tend to shift down after a while. Additionally, the bottom of the case can sometimes interfere with walking by hitting the back of the legs. It is a good thing that this case can be carried in the traditional, horizontal manner with one hand. But the case can get very heavy fast carrying it in this way depending on how full you load it. Overall, I'd say this case is well worth the money.

Holds a full size Mossberg 590 persuader and my ar-15 with scope and red-dot at 1 o'clock as well as 2 pistols and all my mags, range finder, lula's, and more. Surprisingly sturdy and roomy. Remember it's a soft case! With all the straps and padding you can "separate" the rifles just fine if you sinch it all down as you should for travel anyway. Great value.

This is a good bag that you can do alot with but the construction is less quality then I would expect. Some of the stitching is uneaven in the webbing. Still a good buy for the $$ and but I was expecting a better constructed product. Pros: versatile Cons: Cheaply made

This is a really good value. Well made with quite a few ways to lay the retention straps out. The only way to make it better would be to have pockets or elastic to hold rifle mags as it is a rifle bag. Pros: Quality materials, Good layout Cons: Needs pockets/Elastic for AR mags. Backside pocket on large pouch

I ordered mine through dvor.com and dropped shipped from opticplanet. It was a pretty sweet deal so I pulled the trigger on getting one, finally. But I was disappointed in the packaging. They folded the case in half. Understandably so, but it basically creased and smooshed the foam padding inside. Good thing the main compartment padding can be removed and replaced. But the ridge padding that goes along the zipper are not, and those were smashed and folded down every which way to flatten the case for shipping. Ultimately, for the price I got it for ($49) I would recommend it, but at regular retail price, no. Pros: Cordura material, design, price Cons: Foam padding

I really appreciate a tough bag. All the other bells and whistles come after durability. And this OPMOD drag bag is tough. I can put two of my most expensive rifles in here without worrying about a strap falling off, and that is worth more than I can tell you. I purchased this bag to carry an AR-10 with a scope and a AR-15 with a reflex site to and from the range. When I received the case is was folded in half and stuffed in a box. When I pulled it out the bag was hard to lay flat and unzip due to being folded and stuffed in the box. I got my guns out a positioned them in the bag. It was a tight fit. I wish the bag was a couple of inches wider, the length is good. The overall construction is great. Loaded with both guns, my spotting scope and a couple of bipods in the smaller outer pocket this bag will make my trips to the range much easier. Pros: Great bag for the price Cons: Little small for two guns (AR-10 scoped & AR-15 reflex sight)

This range bag is great. Lots of room for your rifle and gear. Can fit 2 carbines and pistol in the outside pouch. I like that it can be worn as a backpack with the straps but I have not used this feature yet. The FDE color is a nice change of pace too, all of my other gun bags are black.

I'm very happy with this purchase. The rifle case is perfect size, the construction is really good, there's lots of hold-down straps on the inside and the two big pockets on the outside are really nice. I looked at a lot of double rifle cases and decided on this one. I'm glad I did.

This item was an excellent value for the price. Chinese made, (isn't everything?) but the construction seems robust, and it carried my AR and Mossberg 590A1 together with ease. Tons of storage, good padding, and tough material. That said, the backpack straps don't seem well situated to carry it in that fashion....it would get uncomfortable in a big hurry, as the strap buckles rub my shoulders. This may just be my size or shape. It is also small for a shooters mat, and I won't swear to how well it would hold up being drug around, but I think that is a matter of the compromises that get made to get a product to do "everything". All in all a good buy for the money, and another win from Optics Planet! Pros: Value Cons: Size, Backpack straps

This bag was of high quality and has many usable pockets and room. I could find only one con about this bag and that was because of my M-4A2 with the fixed carry handle and a Simmons 3-9x50mm scope and my weapon is equiped with a forearm tacticle pistol grip on the 4 rail forarm. The bag was able to still be used but a extra 1/2" tall inside would have been perfect. Pros: Options, room inside all of the pockets, and the pistol pocket was a welcome addition. Cons: With my shotgun in the main compartment it was a tight fit with my M-4 with the fixed carry handle and 3-9x50 scope and forearm pistol grip. a extra 1/2" in the inside hight would have been a added plus.

This is a great product and I've shopped hard for this bag. I wanted a fair price for a dual rifle gun case. Bonus is the straps for backpack carry which allows my hands to carry other supplies at a large, open-air range. Pros: Carries two rifles w/ ease (AR-15, lever or bolt action) securely. External pockets allows transport of supplies, ammo or hand guns. This is a great BANG for your buck in today's economy. Cons: No offer for an embroidering of name, no Velcro spot on outside for name tag, NRA or gun club patches. I'd like to see other colors such as modern digital camo print or solid olive green.

this is a great bag offered by opticsplanet. it holds my ar and my scoped 22lr securely. the updated edition comes with a divider to offer more protection against both rifles from scraping one another. there is plenty of ways to secure your rifles. Pros: efficient. durable. Cons: straps can be uncomfortable under full load.

I am quite pleased with this bag. It has plenty of different compartments and the Velcro system throughout the bag is highly versatile and customizable. There was a small forest green stain near the top of the bag upon arrival, but who cares? I won't be bringing it to any fashion shows. I'm pleased with the purchase. Pros: Versatile and sturdy Cons: None of significance

For the price, this can't be beat. If you're planning on spending 400, you can find better made cases, but this thing easily compares to cases 2x I did rip out the shoulder strap loop, so that needs to be reinforced. Also, the backpack shoulder straps have metal clips on the end that will dig into your shoulder. The straps can be switched out with some normal backpack straps. They still work in a pinch, but you're not gonna haul it a mile that way without cutting up your shoulders. The only other complaint is that it should come with 2x more velcro straps, or OP should offer them for sale separately Pros: Super value packed Cons: Ripped out some straps.

This is a great deal for the money, and after inspecting the bag in person, I've seen bags lie it at double the price. It will also (with a little tucking in at the edges) fit tight in my M3200 Pelican case. MOLLE attachments and side pouches are a plus too. I liked it enough to get a black one too. Pros: Sturdy, well made, fits my Pelican case

Overall a great deal of protection for the money. You can pay twice as much for more protection but this bag will provide all you need for transporting from home to the range or on a hunting excursion riding with your other gear in the back of your truck. Lots of large pockets to hold ammo, mags, side arms etc.

This bag is suitable for one or two rifles. Plenty of velcro straps to attach your weapon. I would add that the pull cords attached to the zippers can easily come off and although that is such a minor thing, I did want to mention so as to be comprehensive.

I haven't had a chance to really put it to use yet, but it seems sturdy and well made. The one initial criticism I have, is that it seems for a bag of this size and weight, that it would have more room vertically for the rifles inside. Not sure how it would feel to try to use the backpack straps with this thing fully loaded with gear. I will have to re-review later after I've used it a bit.

I could fit three rifles within the bag, as well as outfit the outer pockets with various Mollie gear. The inside of the bag also contains a stretch of area where more Mollie gear outfitting. It may or have mag pouches on the outside but you can custom make your own rig with this case.

Can't go wrong for the price. Very well made. Love the backpack option as well. I hAve a .308 and .556 in it along with magazines ammo and a spotting scope. Only drawback I can see is the cheap zippers. Not a big concern though. Would definitely recommend.

If you want to store two AR15's in the main compartment as suggested in the photographs... forget it... it doesn't work. I've got an 18" barreled scoped precision AR and a 16" barreled red dot blaster. So... after initial disappointment... I gave it some thought and bought a cheap case for my other gun that would fit inside the OPMOD bag. I chose the UTG Homeland Security KIS 38-Inch Covert Gun Case... which has a cheesy name but can be picked up cheap and it has great padding. It fits inside the main compartment perfectly with my shorter AR in it. The outer molle pockets of the OPMOD bag are great... add pouches to your hearts content... string up hearing protection, gloves... whatever. So.. to wrap this review up... I like the fact that I can have a ton of equipment in this bag and it still looks plain and boring... it's versatility is fantastic.. you just have to think about it a little... and then adjust it to suit your needs. The competition looks far more "tactical gun bag" in my opinion.... and offers less versatility. The "case in case" works perfectly and I don't have to strap up the long gun in the main compartment with the velcro straps... and it will still all fit in a hard case. The exclusion of wrap around straps (in addition to the carry handles)was a surprise... but perhaps they are not required. Recommended product.

I have several soft double rifle cases including the 5.11 and Blackhawk versions. While those cases are nice, they cost 2-3 times more than the OPMOD case. I love how easily it is to configure the inside of this case. It takes a few minutes of creative thinking to figure out how to do it easily (I pulled out the velcro dividers completely, laid down my ARs with the barrels facing each other and inverted, and put the divider back in). This way I knew exactly where the divider should go and didn't have to adjust it. The case is wider (height) than the 5.11 case due to the configuration and how you arrange your rifles, but it's not as fat.

I spent a lot of time evaluating about a half dozen double tactical rifle cases and the OPMOD AARC 3.0 was the best by a long shot for my needs. Some cases have more attached pouches or a higher price, but the OPMOD has the right mix of durability, versatility, capacity and affordability. For a recent range trip I packed a light-weight AR-15 with a micro high-rise red dot sight, a heavy-barreled DMR AR-15 with a 1-6x24 scope and bipod, a duty pistol, six PMAG magazines, two 17-round pistol magazines, a 100-round box of 5.56, a 100-round box of 9mm, tools to adjust the AR, a cleaning kit, targets, pens, tape and still had room for a couple more pistols and miscellaneous gear if I'd needed it. Everything is well padded. The main compartment has a heavy divider and velcro strips to hold both of my ARs so they don't bump together. The larger outside pocket has velcro and molle too and is large enough and to carry another AR broken down or an AR pistol or a SBR. The material is very heavy duty with good zippers. I only have two minor negatives on this bag. It's rather heavy even when empty (an OK tradeoff considering the protection it affords my guns) and the zipper pulls come off too easily. They're a piece of cord held together by a plastic clamshell clip that opens too easily allowing the cord to pull off the zipper, a real pain to re-thread quickly.

Needed a Range Transport bag. This fits the role well. Plenty of padding for external event protection. Plenty of MOLLE Velco straps and loops for securing the rifle. Pockets are appropriate sized and laid out for other gear. Since it carries two rifles, in-situ padding between rifles is important. It's not shown in the images, there are two Velco 4"x42" dividers 'pads' and MOLLE straps to protect in-between the rifles. This is not an Air Transport or Securable case.

Seems to be well made. I thought I would like the straps the hold the rifles in place but I wish I would have bought one that was divided. Just a personal preference. Not a fault of the bag. It does exactly what it is designed to do.

Case material feels durable and there is plenty of room in the 2 front pockets. Included 2 padded dividers and plenty of Velcro straps for attaching them to the case. Comes with backpack straps which are detachable id you do not want to use them. Could have included a couple more straps for securing gear as there but that is being nitpicky, there is enough straps for at least 2 rifles, but you may want a couple more if you have a lot of accessories for the front pockets. Overall good case and I would purchase again should I need a similar oversized or double rifle case.

Purchased this bag to hold 2 scoped deer rifles and my side arm. We keep this in the car to hold the guns while we are headed to and from the woods. It is easy to open and access and holds all the ammo, clips and holsters, etc that we need. This bag is durable and holds the firearms snug and secure.

Hands down, this is the best rifle case I've ever owned. Well put together and thought out-great use of space. I like the shoulder straps/backpack option. Good for price but tab broke off first time I tried it. There's a small cord with plastic tab attached to the zipper. When I pulled it, it broke off. Cord is too small. Why do I recommend it at 3 stars? Good value for price for what I was looking for. 2 rifle without a "tactical" look. I can "fix" broken tab by replacing the cord. Tab was broken after I opened it.

This bag has plenty of room and is made from very durable fabric. The zippers are solid on all of the pockets which are well proportioned for a variety of gear. There is a decent amount of padding for a battle rifle set up, I might not want to to put some of the higher end optics in the bag for a long trip but I imagine anything else would be just fine. It takes a bit of time/patience to set up the bag for your individual needs however it comes with an abundant supply of Velcro strapping and MOLLE webbing allowing virtually any configuration. This bag also packs and travels well, light weight for its size and versatility. The back pack option is is not really practical for any walk longer than 50-100 yards but if you have to make a short trek from your vehicle to the shooting line they do fairly well and leave your hands free so you can still attempt to turn 5 or 6 trips into 1.

I've had it for about 9 months. I knew it before I bought it, but my main complaint was that it holds the two rifles in one compartment, rather than a divider in the main compartment like some other cases. When carrying it, your rifles will fall on top of each other. This won't happen when you use the velcro straps, but I'd have preferred the other design just so I could throw them in there without securing. I carry a 16" AR-15 with red dot and 18" .22 with scope in it. It may be tight to fit two AR-15s in the main compartment. I usually put a pistol in the small outer pocket. Nothing in the larger outer pocket, although it could probably fit an AR pistol. The plastic pieces on the zipper pulls will fall off if not careful, but I've seen that with other bags. The backpack straps are fine for short trips. I don't think it would work well as a mat as the zippers don't really open it all the way flat. Overall it is definitely worth the price.

The price was unbeatable for what you get. Room for 2 bolt action rifles and seperate compartment for spotting scope and tripod. Another compartment to keep my rangefinder, Kestrel, data book and ammo in. It's padded and has velcro straps to accomodate just about any configuration to leep things in place. Shoulder straps are durable and the material and overall execution of this bag makes it perfect for what I needed. The only thing I might add will be a waist band to keep it from swaying when I am walking using the shoulder straps.
